Field Crew Chief

Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform topographic and boundary surveys and construction staking

• Ensure accuracy of field work

• Perform field calculations including level reductions, traverse calculations and calculations for construction layouts

• Operate and maintain Leica survey equipment (Total Station, GPS and Digital Levels)

• Make proper field notes and sketches

• Ensure proper maintenance of crew vehicle

• Adhere to all applicable safety procedures

• Other duties as necessary to complete complex survey projects

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Good mathematical and communication skills

• Preferred two years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or Instrument Person

• Proficiency of field survey methods

• Desire to further career in surveying

• Desire to work with a highly skilled Registered Land Surveyor to learn advanced survey techniques

• Ability to work overtime and travel throughout the state of Georgia

• Physically able to work outdoors under all conditions

• Ability to handle multiple tasks within same day

• Commitment to detail and quality
